Qualification Required
The aspirants who are willing to fill the application form for the above mentioned posts, must have done recognized Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Along with that the aspirants must hold the Post Graduate Degree/Diploma from a well –known university or institute and the candidate must also have the complete knowledge of the customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
Age Limit
According to the rules and regulations of the commission, the age of the applying aspirants for the HPPSC Recruitment 2017, must be 45 years, which must be calculated as on 01st January 2017. Note that the relaxation in the age of the age will be given to the aspirants who belong to the SC of H.P/ST of H.P. /OBC of H.P. /WFF of the Himachal Pradesh and also to the Persons with disabilities belongs to Himachal Pradesh.
Selection Criteria
The commission will going to select the candidates for the vacant post of Medical Officer (General Wing), Class-I, on the basis of the performance made by the aspirants in the Screening Test/ Examination and later on the performance in the Interview and Personality Test.
Pay Scale
The lucky ones who will be recruited for the above mentioned posts of HPPSC Recruitment 2017, will be paid an handsome amount of stipend of Rs.15600-39100/- plus grade pay of Rs.5400/- as monthly pay scale.

Application Fee
The candidates who belongs to the General Category, need to pay Rs. 400/- and the candidates who belongs to the S.C/ S.T/ OBC category of the Himachal Pradesh need to pay Rs. 100/- as an application fee. Aspirants who belong to the Ex- Servicemen category of Himachal Pradesh are exempted from paying of any application fee. Note that the application fee can be paid either through ‘e-Challan’ or through ‘e-Payment’ and the aspirants can remit fee at any branch of Punjab National Bank through an ‘e-Challan’ or through Debit or Credit Card.
Steps to Apply
- The applying aspirant for the HPPSC Recruitment 2017, first of all needs to visit the official website of the commission that is hppsc.hp.gov.in.
- After that from the home page, candidate needs to hit on the “Latest Advt.” tab.
- A new window will appear on your screen showing you various types of the latest notifications. Candidate need to select the “Advertisement No. 2/2017 – Medical Officer (General Wing)” link.
- As soon as the candidate hit on the above mentioned link, the notification for the same will be there on the screen. Candidates are suggested to read the notification carefully and come back on the previous page.
- Now the aspirant needs to select the “Apply Online” tab and log in to the account by providing the suitable ID and Password.
- Now aspirant need to fill the application form for the HPPSC Recruitment 2017 by providing the complete and accurate details which are asked there. Also candidate need to upload the scanned images of signature, certificate and documents.
